Tancraft operates across six key areas to support the entire craft ecosystem, from design to market, tradition to innovation.

Design Development

Encourage innovation in traditional and contemporary craft design. Provide training, mentorship, and resources to artisans and designers. Host annual design competitions and exhibitions.

Production Enhancement

Support members with tools, materials, and techniques to improve quality and efficiency. Facilitate workshops and collaborative projects to strengthen production capacity. Establish shared production facilities and resource centers.

Promotion & Marketing

Organize exhibitions, fairs, and online platforms to showcase crafts locally and internationally. Build partnerships with cultural institutions, tourism bodies, and commercial outlets. Develop an online marketplace for members’ crafts.

Capacity Building

Offer continuous education programs on design trends, business skills, and sustainability. Empower women and youth artisans to access opportunities and markets. Launch mentorship programs pairing experienced artisans with emerging talent.

Cultural Preservation & Innovation

Safeguard traditional craft knowledge while integrating modern design approaches. Document and promote indigenous techniques and the stories behind the crafts. Publish annual documentation of at least 10 indigenous craft techniques.

Community & Economic Impact

Create employment opportunities and income streams for artisans. Contribute to social development through inclusive and sustainable craft practices. Build partnerships with tourism, education, and cultural institutions to integrate crafts into broader development initiatives.
