Tancraft is guided by clear, measurable objectives that drive our work and ensure lasting impact for Tanzania’s artisans.
We conduct at least 4 training workshops annually on modern design techniques and traditional craft preservation. Launch mentorship programs pairing experienced artisans with emerging talent.
We establish shared production facilities or resource centers to improve efficiency and introduce quality standards and certification for member products within 2 years.
We organize biannual exhibitions and participate in at least 3 international craft fairs but also developing an online marketplace showcasing members’ crafts to global audiences.
We ensure 50% of training and leadership opportunities are directed toward women and youth artisans.
We document and publish at least 10 indigenous craft techniques and stories each year. We also promote eco-friendly materials and sustainable production practices across all member activities.
We aim to increase artisan income levels by 30% within 3 years through improved sales channels and build partnerships with tourism, education, and cultural institutions to integrate crafts into broader development initiatives.
